what's wrong with Air France Y? The only thing I did not like was the silly fix-shell/bottom slide-forward type of seats but the rest of the product is quite good

The Y+ seats are the same, stupid, fixed shell design and are very uncomfortable, especially when trying to sleep. I fly AF again

Sounds like the former CX design, if so, a shocker reason they dumped em.

Im amazed airlines would spend millions of dollars buying thousands of seats of a particular design without properly testing them first. They could at least make some executives sit in some for 10 hours in a showroom and see if they still wanted to buy them afterwards!

I was tempted to take a picture of a Lion Air plane at the aerobridge next to mine in KUL on Sunday morning, thought it might be a rare sight!
