Gold Coast Virgin Lounge closed "for construction"

Very confused... VA on twitter confirms that the OOL lounge is open?

They only had Peroni or Stella at Blackstock Bar on Saturday and it was $17 a pint. Got an email regarding lounge closure for the weekend on Friday as I was flying on Saturday.

It's funny that VA values the lounge at $65 a pop but when they have to pay up they can't even comp you the value of a drink.

Interesting, cause I was going to post the Perth lounge was having carpet replaced. A part was sectioned off on Friday and by Sunday it was complete.
Yes and that's an interesting point. It's just that due to the smaller floor space in the OOL Lounge (& entry/exit point) it was impossible to only close part of it off for this type of job.

And to make matters worse, due to a mis-calculation on my part I ended the week 3 SC short of retaining Gold, hopefully Coles FB SC will come to the rescue as I have nothing else planned at the moment.

More expensive than Oslo!! 17 dollars a pint is just ridiculous.

Was paying $15 on average in Sydney last week at various city bars.

USA is pretty expensive these days too considering the exchange rate.

Does that mean a carpet replacement should only take a day and not have the lounge closed for weeks like Qantas.
Depends on the quality of the carpet....and the Contractor...🤪😆
