TomVexille and I could make good use of them, but not sure if we’d be denied entry with an infant?
We’re doing Mel-Akl on QF155 to connect to HA to HNL for our anniversary in June.

Hi Matt,

This is a very generous offer, thanks for putting it out there. I am a long time reader of AFF but first time poster, I appreciate this may exclude from me the "AFF member for at least 3 months" & "Preference given to active members with 25+ posts" I hope you will still take my request into consideration especially given then reason for the request.

My wife and I are taking my mother in law to New York as a gift,. My mother in law is a widow who lost her husband 18years ago to cancer. As a result she has had to continue working full time to pay the bills etc. She is now 62 and still working full time, her dream has been to go to New York. So my wife and I have decided to take her. We are traveling from Perth and are taking the following legs

Perth > Sydney (Overnight)
Sydney > LA
LA > JFK

I travel frequently and am a platinum member so can take 1 guest into the Sydney first lounge, so at this stage I have to chose between my wife and mother-in-law. It would be amazing to be able to take both of them in, especially after the red-eye from Perth. I am only after 1 pass for the he Sydney first lounge before the Sydney to LA leg.

Here are the details as requested:
  • Departure (for lounge pass): Sydney
  • QF11 - Wed 27th May 2020 (after taking QF568 overnight from Perth)
  • Three travellers - Myself, wife & mother in law
  • 1 Pass
I appreciate I do not meet all the criteria but would be grateful for your consideration. Happy to provide all other details.

Thanks again Matt

Hi Matt,

Outrageously generous. Saw the post AFF put up on FB promoting your generosity. It looks like it knows no bounds.

Would love the opportunity to take my partner in the LAX lounge on the way back from the US.

it would be the first lounge she will have ever been too! Although is that cruel - setting the bar so high!!

LAX
QF96.
Thursday 19th of March
2 passes.

regardless of the outcome - great work.

Howdy Matt,

I'll be off on to London and back in a couple days, greatly appreciated if I get a chance to try the F lounge

I'll be flying on the 20th Feb from Sydney to London via Singapore QF 81 and then QF1.

The return flight from London to Sydney will be on the 12th March via Singapore and brisbane. QF2, QF 52 and QF 511.

I'll be happy with 1 and happier with 2!

Thanks and Cheers Matt!

Pete

Question Matt_01 ive been trying to find these on gumtree etc. Do people actually sell these to?
The Sale of airline and hotel vouchers etc via ebay and gumtree is something we do not discuss

As always Matt 01, very generous. I'm flying EK F out of SYD during April so I should be able to get into QF F lounge anyway

Pretty interested. first child is technically out in the cold for our trip, as second child is still under 18 and within my guest allowance. I do have business lounge passes, and the option to ask for a favour of lounge staff. But it would be nice if we could all "legally" get into the First lounge.

5 July
QF7
4 travellers
Sydney
1 pass

Edit: don't want to talk myself out. I really do wish to have a pass for the certainty in accessing the lounge. just a note to say i don't need a pass, as I have other options.

I did ring SST to check and was surprised to learn that these are per person and infants need their own. I would have thought the standard QF children’s access rules would have applied but apparently it does not.

Bummer, though I thought that might be the case. I’m guessing staff may have some discretion but probably not worth the risk 🙁
Thanks for checking.

Very generous of you @Matt_01

My wife is going back home for a conference in April and I'd love to be able to get her into the MEL F Lounge to relax before the Y slog back to LHR. She's never been before so it would be a great surprise and experience.

She was going to use a J lounge pass so I'd happily gift that to someone if successful.

Departing from Melbourne
Flight QF35
1 pax
Only 1 pass required.

What amazing generousity Matt!!

I’m throwing my hat in the ring on behalf of my in laws from the UK. They’re coming down to visit my partner for the first time since she moved here two years ago where they’ll be flying back to the UK on Qantas SYD-SIN-LHR on the 28th of March for 2 pax with 2 passes. I think this would a beautiful way to wrap up their time down under before the long slog home in economy.

Admittedly, this is the first time I’m meeting them in person so it would also win me some solid brownie points to hook them up with F Lounge before heading home. :p

Hey Mate leaving on QF11 flying to lax. Flying with the wife and 2 kids but we can leave them with the aunty and uncle which would be a great experience before our flight with young ones. Would love to get them (2passes)

Cheers and look forward to you picking a winner.

Adam
I have no use for these and the immediate family cannot use them and if I do not give these away it is likely that I will forget about them and they will expire.

Like most of my "free stuff" posts there are a few of conditions, being:
  • AFF member for at least 3 months,
  • Preference given to active members with 25+ posts.
  • Preference given to members who can use these at a F lounge
  • Must have a firm departure date (already booked) from a port with a QF F lounge (SYD, MEL, LAX, SIN). To use these passes flights must be QF numbered and operated, see the QF T's and C's below.
  • I may ask for screen shot of the booking to satisfy myself that they will be genuinely used.
  • The recipient(s) will need to provide me their QFF details (name and QFF no.) to transfer.
If you are not comfortable with the last 2 bullet points please don't ask for them.

Please do not send PM, I will not respond just indicate interest and post details. Also not fussed if they go to 2 different AFF members or 1 AAF with a travelling companion. Can I ask when posting a reply can you please indicate:
  • Departure Location
  • QF Flight number
  • Total number of travellers
  • If you are after 1 or 2 passes
The QF Rules and other information lifted from the QF website.
  • The complimentary lounge invitations terms and conditions, and the Quick Guide on how to use the lounge invitations.
  • P1 – Benefit – can be used at any Qantas Club domestic lounge, Qantas International Lounge, Qantas operated International Business Lounge (excluding Los Angeles Tom Bradley International Terminal) and Qantas International First Lounge when departing on a Qantas or Jetstar flight number.

Does Mrs M or Misss get a new bag for this ?
Not wanting to post inappropriately but for the ones especially singles don't forget to check the offers to invite into lounge .
I have never had a take up on that for example

I would very much like to put my hand up for this generous offer. I have a J class SYD - LAX booking in March and have never been to the QF F lounge.

Thank you for your consideration.

Unfortunately based in Perth with no qualifying flights ahead but you are a very kind and generous person Matt!
