Good deal with Qantas My Card Offers - 5,000 bonus points for spending $250 with Qantas Hotels

I still haven't received the bonus points for this offer. The hotel stay was two months ago. Not really sure what to do next?

After recent conversations with QFF and Qantas Hotels, their advice to me was after 8 weeks to email frequent_flyer.com.au with tax invoice.

I also included initial booking confirmation and proof of stay ie room service account.
Perhaps remind them of the bonus points offer @Mattg

This isn’t a question of QF Hotel points posting but the bonus points through the broader QF Money promo (on linked CC purchase).

The Ts&Cs mention 30 days but I reckon double that is probably closer to the mark. But given they explicitly state up to 30 days (and not even related to actual stay) I’d suggest @Mattg you’ve good reason to reach out. The key question, who does one contact for these types of deals?

Struggling to use your Frequent Flyer Points?

Frequent Flyer Concierge takes the hard work out of finding award availability and redeeming your frequent flyer or credit card points for flights.

Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, the Frequent Flyer Concierge team at Frequent Flyer Concierge will help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

That's the main thing I'm unsure about. There isn't really an obvious contact for My Card Offers?
Maybe try emailing QFF with the details?

I don’t recall getting this or using this offer but there was a 2000 pts / $400 offer last August which I triggered. I did receive a confirmation email with subject: “You've earned Qantas Points with Card Offers”. Confirming that I had triggered the offer and points had “Landed”.

Back in the day when this was called Qantas Card Companion, I successfully dealt with QFF when some bonus points from a Westpac card referral promo they were running didn't credit correctly.

My hunch is that this is a broader issue with how QF hotel charges reflect on linked cards. You wouldn't be able to tell on my card statement which transaction was a QF flight booking and which one was a QF hotel booking. If it can't identify the transaction, then it won't award the points. All other card offers I've taken up after the hotels offer have been credited, so in theory this one should have as well.

It says to contact them through the form on the QF shopping website for these issues (or call 13 49 06). I only just completed the stay I made the booking for, so might leave it a bit longer and then contact them.

My recent experience is the that My Card Offers are very often a fail and that noone wants to be responsible for those bonus points promotions. I recently successfully forced through bonus points from a different My Card Offers for an online shopping promotion (after providing all neccessary evidence multiple times and being refused three times), but I have given up on several other My Card Offers and I very strongly suspect that it is deliberate that the offers often are not provided unless you really, really follow up...

The banks receive much more information about a transaction than is usually shown on customer statements.

The Amex internet banking portal (especially the new portal for US issued cards) gives a good indication of how much information the banks get from the airlines. Here's an example for a Qantas Hotels booking which usually appears as QANTAS LOYALTY MASCOT AU on statements, but does contain further information to identify it as coming from QANTAS & JETSTAR HOTELS. It even contains a 'ticket number' of 081 followed by the alphanumeric Qantas Hotels booking reference, and the name of the booking.

That's really useful to know! I'm fairly certain just a few months ago all the different Qantas websites (Hotels, Marketplace, main site) appeared slightly different on my statements and now they all appear the same...

Yeah. AMEX has been particularly good at showing more details (and have done for as long as I can remember). Pretty sure Diners was the same.

Most VISA/MC CC providers just provide the headline info but presumably they’re provided similar details from the merchant?
