CX also sends MEL passengers to the House instead of the QF lounge.
The Oman Air website was very difficult to use so I gave up. For sure bypassing MNL on the return leg is worth the extra couple of $100. I've flown Philippine Air before and it is definitely a yuck transfer through their terminal. Their lounge is the worst. One shower with mold in it. Hoping the PAGSS lounge will be better (well it cannot be worse).Did you plug the same dates / flights into the OA website? I can see options on random dates for a little bit more than $6k (including QF to MNL). I didn’t try too hard but QF back wasn’t leaping out but options back via KUL (MH) or BKK (TG) are about $6.3k.
Certainly getting into the realms of my interest for the convenience of not having to o/n to self-insure against mis-connects.
Qantas and Oman use that. People say the Cathay lounge is the best if you have oneworld Gold status.MMmmm any advice which lounges to use in MNL? I've got priority pass, or the PAGSS (which I think is what Oman uses)
Yes CX lounge miles better than PAGSS.Qantas and Oman use that. People say the Cathay lounge is the best if you have oneworld Gold status.
PAGSS is the best PP lounge at MNL, IMO. Problem is it gets rather busy. CX is better, but you have to be flying OW.MMmmm any advice which lounges to use in MNL? I've got priority pass, or the PAGSS (which I think is what Oman uses)

Ahh yes- my last trip with them was Sep 2023 and it was Terminal 2 where the overhead lights barely seemed to be on.How long since you've flown PR?
It used to use half of T2 at MNL NAIA for international flights. It has switched to T1, and has a new, much larger lounge, although I have not showered there.
Wow thats good. I nearly did the same but found the sneaky buggers had an economy leg in there, (the BNE section). Wasn't obvious on the ticket booking site. Ill have a dig around sound like a good deal.I just booked BNE to CDG via MNL and MCT on Qantas and Oman Air for July departure. 2 J seats return A$11,972 via online travel agent. Sadly my regular bricks and mortar travel agent could not get anywhere close to this price. I been searching for flexible dates around this time for 2 months and this seems to be about the best price I can find. Hope it helps some people out there. $6k return for lie flat all the way, even with 2 stops each direction seems a very good price to get to Europe for the summer.
