No, more like circumspection.

Basically QF WP's are eligible to access QP's any time.

This is a rarely advertised benefit and like the AAdvantage Gold/Plat Challenges, can be withdrawn at any time.

e.g. In December I traveled on AirNZ from AKL to MEL for cost reasons (AUD180 v. AUD320); I employed the AKL Int QP for an hour or so before my flight.

Doesn't work on multi-trip bookings, nor reservations that are held and ticketed later or over the phone.

The Multi-trip functionality on AA is actually quite good. For an upcoming UPP fare of mine (fully refundable) I spent quite a while reading through the rules and working out the best routing. Using the multi trip booking engine, I managed to book a return flight consisting of 6 flights with a total of 600 SC's if they post correctly. Quite a nice price too.

Normally won't work on AA codeshares. Have to be AA Metal and AA flight number.
Also if you change your ticket to other flights then you also lose the discount.

Best to read the individual rules on the coupon used.

There are single use and multi use codes. Depends on the promotion. The ones in the WIKI above are normally multi-use, the ones from Entertainment book and other similar sources tend to be single use. If you check the terms and conditions, they advise which type of code it is.
