I would have loved to have gone to the game but just returned from 4+ week break.

I will have a quite drink or 2 if Sants win otherwise I will be waiting another 43 years for a Saints Grand Final win....

Well am now on the way home after a loss to the Cats.

I was incredibly fortunate to actually get a seat at cost price outside the ground. I held up a sign asking for one ticket near the Richmond station and after about 30 minutes watching thousands of people going past a man said he had one for sale because one of his party couldn't make it. He only wanted face value ($250).

I very happily paid and asked if he would be sitting nearby. He wasn't because they had only got the seats very late and they were all over the place.

I couldn't even buy him a drink. May he have wonderful karma forever.

I sat up in Row X in Bay 24 with a wonderful view. Just wish the score was different. Still I got there and enjoyed it. Now for 2010.




To munitalP, commiserations on the loss of your fur kid. It must be hard. Rest easy knowing you gave your dog a good life and he will forever be in your heart.

FWIW, Bay 24 is in the AFL member's area (of which I am one; I sat in M22) The most any should have paid for a single seat ticket there was $105 (unless it included lunch).

The actual price printed on the ticket was $248.50. Doesn't say anything about lunch, unless that was a separate ticket.

This grand final proved yet again that you do not have to be the best team on the day or throughout the season to get the prize. Oh well may have to wait another 43 years....
