Grand Hyatt Singapore - Any Good?

Family getaway over Easter & thinking about staying here......anyone had a recent stay or opinion on the property?

Have reviewed TA & FT - seems ok. Any AFF'er out there with a view?

Excellent hotel at an excellent location. Perfect location for the family as it is right in the thick of Orchard Road.
Ok...it is actually at Scotts Rd. but <1 min walk to Orchard Rd.
IMHO, can't go wrong.

Good enough for me.

I'm new to Hyatt Gold Passport however, quickly getting hooked. With this stay & a stay at PHT a few months ago.... we'll have enough Hyatt points to re-deem 4 nights at their highest classed properties

All I've got to do now is select the right room in the right tower to access the best lounge

What exactly are you planning on doing, if its shopping Orchard Rd locations are good however I prefer to stay down near city hall, usually at the Rendezvous, Intercontinental or Swissotel, I have some favorite eating places and also enjoy the odd nightly walk along Boat Quay etc.

Eating. We've been to SIN quite a bit & really enjoy it. Normally stay at FS or MO however, over the years we've found these properties have declined below their brands very high standard.

TBH Hyatt passport is the lure & we like the Orchard Rd location.......SWMBO really likes it:shock: So I expect shopping will factor in quite high.

My preferred location is BKK...I didn't book the airfares However, I've been given the job to arrange everything else:!:

We stayed in a club room and thought the hotel was great, its nice and central, lovely staff. We went to Malaysia as well and I think the new KL Hyatt is much more grand but we didn't stay in downtown KL as work dictated we needed to be close to the office so we were out at Cyberjaya, but we ate at the KL Hyatt twice (had been open only a few weeks) and thought the food was fantastic and the staff also very nice and the check in area had a great view of the petronas towers (there is also a lounge/bar/restaurant with this view. If you have the time I'd do both again. An easy and cheap flight between the two and then you will know your preference for next time

Hopefully the lifts will be working for your stay, they were offline last night resulting some guests having no need for a gym session.

Slight change in plan. We have 6 nights so decided split the stay over two hotels.

Booked the last three nights at the Fullerton Bay Hotel......pretty excited about this one.

Still deciding on the other. There are some good stay 3 pay 2 deals....always good when you check-in around midnight on the first night

Damn! We were on the top floor and had a set of stairs to walk up as it was, which confused me, why build a lift a level short?.. but to take the stairs from the lobby to the room...

you can always get a ferry over to Indo for some cheap rates on some nice looking resorts
