Great service on VA7

Flew out on VA7 on the 12th Feb with the wife, and it happened to be her birthday. I'd contacted VFF a week prior via FB, and asked if there was anything they or I could do for her onboard as a surprise. VFF got back to me right away and stated, they'll look after her.
The plane was very empty and we in Y had 3 seats each to ourselves.
So about halfway thru the flight, the CSM surprised Tanya with some goddies :) She was overwhelmed

That's really nice! I love the VA international crew, always have a good experience with them.
 
You had me at Y and 3 seats to yourselves.... and then I saw dessert!

Unfortunately, we could only spare a short time away, so im back at work today :( visited a couple of new places, in the states and in Canada. Might have a go at a trip report :)

Great to hear your story, it's amazing how a small gesture can be overwhelming in it's impact. Last time we flew out of LAX-SYD with our four kids, I mentioned to the fellow at the boarding gate that I was a little worried how our autistic son would cope with the late flight. The young gentleman asked me to wait and he proceeded to press a lot of keys on his computer. I thought he was writing a book! After 5 mins, he said, "Ma'am, I've moved passengers about and have allocated your family 3 rows to yourselves. Your son has a whole row to himself, so he can lie down and have a nice sleep if he wants".
I was so very grateful to this guy. Our flight home was relaxed and very comfortable. I have never forgotten that experience with VA and that's why we stay with them.
