Greetings from London

You already can get QR awards through velocity. As far as I know though you can't get an F award but I have already got J awards through Velocity. SQ awards are also available through velocity and although released later than KF we only once had to fly from SYD instead of our preferred BNE. I've looked at BNE-SIN for the first 10 days of December and classic J awards every day plus then SIN-DOH-LHR on QR.
However no classic awards PER-SIN unless you go via ADL at a higher cost. But a cheaper way to go is on Scoot from PER.

But if you want to use QFF you basically have to fly somewhere cheap S uch as CGK or MNL to get out of Australia then on to Europe.
QFF rarely has J awards on BA SYD-SIN even though I can see them on my BA and AA accounts. Mind you I would only fly J on BA if I was sure it was the new J seats and up until mid this year I had only once experienced it when they replaced the old 777 with a 789 for our winter.

Evening from London!

Signing up to AFF as I'm coming over in Febuary for work.

Love how friendly and informative you chaps are

Flying over on BA with an upgrade voucher to CW to Sydney (bloody long flight!) and have a Amex 2-4-1 CW to return booked to come back later in the year earned through credit card points/tier point runs.

With the recent BA changes I'm looking to jump ship as that status is likely not going to be renewed

I'll be new to the country and have been eyeing up credit cards / introductory offers - would love to hear your strategy if you were starting afresh collecting points in Aus and which carrier you'd target!

Likely aiming for a trip back home every couple of years and various ones around Aus

Cheers

Adam
