The first one I had that exact picture on the map flying overhead towards another country nearby - alas I was on the wrong side of the plane to catch the view.

Growing up, we didn't own a TV. Instead we had a wall of books, including an atlas or two.
Most of these were pretty straight forward, a few required a process of elimination.

But I will admit that at least three were guesses between two or three of the choices. One unsuccessfully guessed.

Was generally relying on where the ocean, bay or rivers were to narrow the choices.
