Hi there.
My partner and I are arriving in SYD at 6:20pm on QF104. Our final destination is LST, however, there are zero flights to LST that evening so we're booked on QF1267 leaving 2:10pm the following day. The international and domestic legs are booked separately as QF104 is CR (and I wasn't able to get this for the full journey).
I'm aware of Qantas' policy that if transferring from a domestic flight to an international flight (or vice versa) on the same calendar day, the international baggage allowance will apply.
Given there's no way for us to transfer on the same day, I was interested in seeing if anyone had a similar situation and how Qantas responded. I'm expecting we'll have no luck (which is a shame as not only does the weight allowance decrease, but so do the allowed dimensions). I will try calling Qantas, but thought I'd try here too.
