Has anyone had success with the call-up "Marginal" xASA's?

HUACA resulted in... "No changes allowed any more, the last person shouldn't have changed it" comment from reservations.

So it seems that YMMV. Will perhaps try again when back in Oz but doesn't look promising.

I'd suggest that QF has cottoned on to a loophole - probably via this thread ;).

Perhaps, although I'd suggest that technically they are in breach of their own fare conditions which were listed as fully flexible and without fees at the time of the original ticket purchase. Now they are saying no changes, which is a breach of contract, technically.

This. For them to say "no changes any more" implies there is a limit.
I wonder if you could do this with a standard revenue J/F fare. I can't imagine they would say no. Even if you did it through a TA and booked the multi-leg journey outright..

I tried looking at some changes for adding sectors the other day and drew a curt "no"

I think the opprtunity may well have passed

Had a 1-way international JASA booked in 2014 and modified in 2015 (adding a dom J sector for 2016).
International sector flown a few weeks ago & has posted at zero SCs & points.

Today I called to explain these usually 'auto-correct'.

Operator looked at it and went on about some nonsense re booking dates etc.
I explained that when I made the change to add the dom sector the booking agent understood the flight earned points & SCs and that it wouldn't be 'disturbed'.

The operator today attempted to challenge me and requested the original booking details etc to be emailed across for "Further investigation".
I will now wait and see.

This will also mean that my 2016 added dom JASA sector will now not post and will need to be chased down when it is flown.

Rant: **Too often the operators immediately push back treating us like we are the idiots and what we are asking couldn't possibly be so. Yet I feel like I am the one training them.** Rant over.

I've said this several times, but in this situation it is always best to email. Avoids the BS that you have experienced. Key words: "any seat award", "eligible for SC and point earn", "incorrect credit", "please correct" etc.

It seems to have been rectified with successful credit applied after email sent with proof of when it was ticketed originally.

Now I know the JASA extension of Dom leg will also be problematic in 2016. I'll deal with that then.

It should be fine because it's on the same PNR.

Had to fight over SC's. Some reservations genius had converted my JASA to a P classic instead of a FASA. Posted as 0 and classic. They've now fixed but only after an argument where she tried to tell me I had upgraded with points. I proceeded to ask her what the $1200 or so that I paid to upgrade to F was for? No response. Points and SC posted.

Now to chase for my partner :-/

If you are successful its best to ask to make notes in the successful PNR so when you call for further PNR's you can reference the earlier PNR.

Did eactly that today.

Just requalified for 16/17 WP as well ;)

Interesting, I thought classics could not be changed/rebooked as ASAs and vice versa. But the current T&Cs don't show anything about that. They used to, well my understanding is they did.

I think it all comes down to booking codes used by the operator. I've had one that did this before when I changed it but that was back in the day when they officially existed.

Partner's points and SC now posted too and received a confirmation call. SWMBO is chuffed as in one return trip in the pointy end she went from NB to SG!

Well on my way to WP retain, only need 300 SCs by end of November which should be easily achievable.

By the way, third operator today said no go to routing changes on xASAs. I'd say they're on to this thread and have sent out an all staff email.

Date and time changes are still OK I believe, within ticketing limits.

Oooh what happened in the end?

Sorry for the delayed response. We were enjoying our holiday too much. In the end we were credited with the incorrect point and credits for J class (about 6000 points less and 40sc less), eventually fixed with a call to premium line. Then for our FASA coming home no points or SC's were credited. I gave it a week but nothing so called the premium line. They again tried to short change us, thankfully i confirmed what they were going to credit first before hanging up. Eventually got it sorted. Kinda annoying that we have to keep calling to get things fixed but at least its all sorted and the flights were excellent!!

Awesome! I guess hoping for F SCs on the outbound would be a bit of a stretch, but hey, you got what you paid for.

Btw I called today to add a domestic segment onto an existing international ASA and it went through without a hitch. Maybe 10-15 mins waiting time on hold. Ticket hasn't been sent yet.

While this is good detective work, since when do QF care about their published terms and conditions?

I do recall a 3 month clause, when major changes were made in 15 or so days.

They change the terms and conditions to suit themselves.

I think it was more like 24 hours or so, wasn't it?

My last JASA points/SCs have not posted after a week, although it is shown as an "Any Seat Award" and not a "Classic". Might have to call up...

My last one didn't post, a call fixed it in a jiffy. In the 6 weeks prior 14/14 posted perfectly with two of them on the same PNR as the one that didn't post...strange.
