Has anyone received OPTUS FF points yet ?

Hi everyone,

Seems that some people have Optus points and some don't so just thought I would state the process (below) to make sure you are set up correctly to get points. As was stated earlier, it could take up to 30 days for points to be awarded. If you think you are way beyond that and you have followed the registration process, feel free to PM me with your QFF number and I can look into it for you.

Cheers,
Red Roo

Process
Once a member has registered for Optus Rewards, they need to add their eligible Optus accounts to their Optus Rewards membership.

This can happen one of 2 ways:
- The accounts will be automatically recognised and automatically added OR
- The accounts are not recognised and need to be manually added. Any Optus accounts which are manually added require validation by Optus before points can be earned which could take up to 2 weeks.

Then, points are earned only once payment of the added eligible Optus accounts have been processed.

It can take up to 30 days after payment processing for points to appear in a members Qantas Frequent Flyer account.

Just received 2 text messages to say I've earned points. Thanks to Red Roo for the offer to assist though.

BINGO.

I received an SMS today about Optus points and checked my QFF account - points have arrived.

Yippie!

Hopefully, I will see more points over the months/years to come!

YAY .... I finally received my SMS yesterday and points in my account today.... assume as it is a new process might take some time to settle down.... noticed a few other members got the message yesterday as well

Thanks Red Roo for your feedback..

Pevious discussion to be found in the previous thread on this subject.

I got my second OptusMSG SMS yesterday saying I'd earned 100 FF points when (my wife) paid our latest bill. My first SMS was on 5 October giving 730 and I posted in the previous thread about timing of transfer to QFF account.

I registered on the first day, received confirmation, but no points to date. Red Roo I will send you a PM and take you up on your offer of assistance.

Just an update for those like myself who are still waiting for points to appear. Red Roo confirmed that my QFF and Optus accounts were linked so suggested that I needed to contact Optus to find out where the points are. The line from Optus is to keep waiting ..... until mid November and if they haven't come through by then to make contact again.

Points for one months bill have one arrived, at least I didn't have to wait until mid November.

I am still waiting. I signed up quite early. I haven't received anything from Optus. I thought I would try again, so I went through the process, added my FF number with my mobile number and it told me that my mobile number was already assigned to a FF number. So Optus "knows" I am in the system but it hasn't gone anywhere yet:(

It's frustrating when they tout these wonderful ways of getting points, then they don't work seamlessly like we are lead to believe. I wonder if a call to Optus CS would get you anywhere Pushka?

My wife's Optus payment has processed, so I know both of ours are working:

Another account paid yesterday, so we'll see how long it takes.

Keeps coming through nicely for me, another 530 points earned :D

Wonder how long it'll take Optus to sort out all the ones that aren't crediting properly :o

Ours came through last week, but only for October. At least they are happening though.

I'm still waiting for my second lot, but based on last month, they should be through by the end of this week. As long as switching to Telstra doesnt have an effect; I was still with Optus when I paid the bill...

Still nothing, a long time since the email confirming it.

If "mid November" is the next target date then will await that before PMing RedRoo.
250 points a month going begging.

Edit - looked up email dated 1 September.

Thanks for registering to earn Qantas Frequent Flyer points from Optus Rewards.

If you have added any accounts that are now showing as pending validation, we will contact you within 14 days to validate them. You will not be able to earn points until your Optus Accounts are validated.

Have never been contacted about 'validating' the account - why on earth is this necessary anyway? Have been a customer for years and it's all in their system. Can't reply to this email either as it's a "noreply"

No points for either account.

Warks, I got no validation of either of my "pending" accounts, so I am less than happy with their overall systems - they haven't followed their own stated procedure.

Thankfully it's only until 31/12, but having said that, I don't think anyone wants to be following up Red Roo, when they promised the "automated process".

Just another nail in the coffin of the QFF program. Sad that once I was so one-eyed but now I have both open to the better opportunities.

So I have received one batch of points in my QFF account.

However, I have three accounts which have all been linked to QFF. So I would have expected more Optus txns in my QFF account by now....

OK an update from me.

1. I'm no longer receiving any SMS notifications of points.

2. I have received an email where I can change my account alias to more meaning names vs account numbers.

3. Jan '12 is the first month that I have received 3 sets of Optus point deposits for my three different Optus accounts.

Hopefully, this is a sign of more consistent point deposits from Optus.

Similar, my last SMS was 30/11 and I have paid Optus bills since then but I haven't checked my QFF account to see if they are being credited.
