Hawaiian seat allocation when on Aadvantage tickets

Hi,

I have booked flights for my wife and I flying from Vegas to HNL and stopover and then onto Australia using AA miles.

They are all ticketed fine so tried to log onto the Hawaiian site to do seat allocations. They show our bookings fine but have a message that seat allocations can't be done as tickets not booked direct with Hawaiian.

Tried logging onto AA site to allocate the seats but can't find a way to do it.

Can the seats be allocated online or I will have to ring AA back to do it? Or ring Hawaiian?

I'd give AAdvantage a call in the US.

On both occasions I've flown HA HNL/BNE on a Velocity redemption I've had to call HA direct for seating as I hot the same response as you.

Make sure you take sone of your own food for the HNL/Aust sector ir you'll starve.

From my experience even in first, on Hawaiian you should take own snack when in any class.

I flew HNL-SYD in Y last October and the food was plentiful and quite tasty...

I rang Hawaiian for my flight and got seats allocated (I'm also a HA FF - no status) without any issues.

What lounge/s (if any) can a QF WP access in HNL with this type of award ticket ?

I too will have no status apart from travelling on a business class ticket. Do we get lounge access in Vegas and HNL?
