Hi Folks,

Needing some LHR experts on this one please (i'm sure there are many!)

I have a LHR-DXB-MEL in Y+ during Feb 2015.

Unfortunately i'll most likely drop to PS at the end of Jan so no lounge access for me! My Q's are:

1. What chances do you think I have of begging for a comp to stay SG if I call in Jan?
2. Failing that, I'll put in an upgrade request..chances?
3. Failing that as well, I will have PP membership from my CITI bank card...anyone been to the No1 or Servisair lounge? Thoughts?

Many thanks for any help!

No1 is good by all accounts; QF use it for their F spa treatments now that BA Flounge doesn't offer them.
If the lounge access is the sole motivation for the upgrade request, probably better to save the points and use PP.

Thanks for the info...lounge access would be great however getting the upgrade would be better as I guess I would also get the lounge access in DXB.

I think I'll call up for a comp for another yr of SG otherwise fingers crossed for an upgrade!

Cheers.

As long as it is on QF, you should be fine. If things haven't changed (simpler and fairer), dropping from SG to PS comes with a grace period QP membership (can't remember how long - somewhere between 1 and 3 months) for you to decide to pay to retain it (without paying joining fee). Should cover your access.
