Hi everyone,

I stumbled across this site following a Google search and found the answer I was after, so lurked for a week or two and have now joined up. I'm a Qantas SG with no hope of ever becoming WP as I don't fly enough but I've been fascinated by the wealth of knowledge and tips you all have and share.

Never give up hope. I thought I was never going to do that much travel either and I was excited when I qualified Silver in my first year and then again the year after, then Gold for a year and Platinum since for the past 6+ years.
 
Welcome aboard. I hit silver for the fist time this year, which I never thought possible. Now I'm aiming for gold. Never give up!

Actually I have a double status offer on the go at the moment. It expires at the end of June and I have made a few business flights to HK and back during the qualifying period however my work tend to fly us in the lowest fare bucket going so I am only doubling 30 credits. Annoyingly my QFF anniversary is the end of July and had the offer extended until then I would have done much better out of it. Doesn't really matter though I will requalify my SG.

WP would be great, but being BNE based, there are no FLounges to take advantage of so I'm not sure it's worth the chase for a few extra bonus points per flight, but I'm sure many of you will tell me different!
 
Welcome aboard Mr_Orange, like you I joined here thinking WP was unattainable. Next week I'll make WP1 thanks to judicious use of DSC and JASAs. Much more comfortable up the front of the plane, especially when doing long haul international flights.
