Hi!

Well, I was a regular poster up until a couple of years ago and then with a change in job work travel pretty much stopped in its tracks

Just two trip overseas in the past year:

  • Using AA points (there's lots of posts on AFF re that) a trip for Mrs Paddy and I to Europe on BA in F. Wonderful 6 week trip until checking in at Vienna Airport when I overbalanced and fell all of 3 feet to the floor and broke my wrist . Even though I had travel insurance with NRMA I elected to continue checking in and return to Sydney before heading off to the local hospital. Turns out to have been the stupidest decision I've made in many a year as NRMA wouldn't pay for anything and treatment has continued for the past 8 months and I may yet need surgery! More in a separate post.
  • A quick trip for work (consulting) to HKG and Dongguan, China in Feb travelling CX PE. Cheaper than QF PE it wasn't bad, and certainly better than Y but oh what I would have given to stretch out!

Anyway getting ready to fall from QF Gold to (Lifetime) Silver but looking to snag some QF Awards - to Europe on EK and back from LHR on QF in mid 2017 and hoping a change in work and fortune might bring some DONE4s... need 3 I think to get to Lifetime Gold.

Anyway good to be back and posting a little again

Paddy
