Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to introduce myself. Am based in Perth and have got an interest in travel hacking (just starting out). It feels good to stop lurking and hope that once I've got a bit more experience I can start contributing.

Cheers

Thanks a lot everyone. If anyone has some tips straight off the bat for those of us living in Perth - please let me know!

Can't PM back yet unfortunately.

Yeah, free points or status runs you can do from Perth.

Ive recently got the Platinum Velocity Amex so should be gettin 50k+ points soon and have the free flight which I think I will use to get to the east coast to do some of the established runs. I've gone back to study law and am doing it externally through QUT so have to go there twice a year at least.

And I'm a mad dockers fan who is planning on going to Melbourne quite a bit for games if I can.

Hello rudiger, yes the AFL silverware would be good in the Dockers cabinet!

Yeah absolutely - and I dont consider those 50k points free at all. I was just using the terminology you used in your reply. I know 'value for money' points is a more accurate description.

We watched the Dockers today from London on Sky TV. Another great win for the Dockers and to get into the top four will require a team above them to start losing games.
