Hello guys, I'm Laud. I'm 23 years old from the Philippines. I visited Perth as a tourist in 2018, through Singapore Airlines. I have only flown low-cost carriers before throughout the Philippines and I always thought that's the regular way of flying, having to pay for your sit, food, and other things on flight. But then I flew with SG Air in Economy and my god how different it was. It was such a life-changing experience and I believe it was the reason why I now love looking at Airplane/flight videos in YouTube. This year, I will be going back to Perth, this time as an international student. Since there are no direct flights, I will be flying with SG Air (again because I love to have my layover at Changi) but will be flying through Qantas economy on the way to Perth. It is a self-transfer flight so it will be risky but I have a 7-hour layover so hopefully it's all good.
I have immediately signed up for a Qantas Frequent Flyer account and have since discovered this wonderful website. Now I have my eyes set for the future, get lots of Qantas points, get upgraded to Gold membership, stay at lounges before flights (how I wish I could now). Just wanna say thanks to this site, I have since earned an easy 2,000 Qantas points (signing up for Woolworths Rewards and TerryWhite hehe) and now I can't wait to earn more.
Thanks to this website, I feel like I have so much to read during my spare time before moving to Australia. Can't wait to see what's in store and all the tips and tricks so I can get to maximise this frequent flyer experience (even though I don't fly a lot). Cheers guys, and I hope I get to meet some of you in the future.
