Hi - we are flying out on Tuesday on QF01 to London (then on to Pisa). I just checked and I can get seats 40C, G & F. We are currently in 70 J,K. I have very long legs. Does 40C give me any extra room? I seem to remember it is a desirable seat and generally goes to high rank QFF members.

I can't any difference on Seatguru.

Thanks for a quick response.

Seat expert should give you the 747 config for your flight as this does change and may be different for your flight.

In terms of row 40, good bulkhead, you have everyone walking past you during boarding and you see Y+ (so may feel a little depressed), no under the seat in front of you storage, it's in a section on its own, fed and watered first, so generally a good choice.

Row 70 is wider seats but at the end of the line for everything, but some like it.

if you can get row 40 i would take it even though you are being split up.

Row 40 bulkhead will definitely give a lot more leg room than an ordinary economy seat.

Personally I prefer 40 DG as there is no one behind you and hardly anyone walks past to move between cabins.

Just changed my booking from 70JK to 40C and 40G. Hubbie has much shorter legs so I'll check both for legroom - perhaps even take comparative pics. I have always looked at those seats with envy as I passed through on my trek to the back. We are quite happy to sit apart.

Thanks for the links and the photos. I also to search but 40 is too short for criteria.
