Hi all, hubby & I would like to use our QFF to do rtw trip. We can go in Oct with 8 weeks. I was told that we only get 5 stopovers with qantas. Would like to keep to warmer climates if possible, so I think London etc would be out. Any suggestions please would be great.:)

Are you talking about the 142,500 QFF points one world around the world economy fare?

Hmm, October maybe a bit tough to get seats now... But October is an interesting challenge to find 'warm' places... :)

I don't know where in Australia you're in, but I'd suggest something like...

Australia - BKK - CMB - Amman - HKG - SIN - Australia

If you've been to some of these more popular places like HKG, SIN or BKK, you can swap it for Cairo or India or something...

yes the 142,500 QFF rtw.
Have been to LA Vegas NY Orlando. Live in Adelaide.
Travel agent has suggested spain, Miami, Bankok or coughet
just not sure which best way to go about it all.

hi what is CMB - and I presume this Amman is in Jordon?? Have tried to find one central place that list all the abreviations for airports/places - any one know of just one place that lists them all?

The "normal" FT and AFF RTW people use Great Circle Mapper - the great circle mapper site. CMB is Colombo, Sri Lanka AMM is Amman, Jordon

Try this for something different - trick is to find the SYD-SCL seats - remember to look at both LA and QF availability......

SYD-SCL(stop - local $$ flights to Mendoza and BA, Argentina and perhaps Montevideo, Uruguay)- MAD(stop - local flights Ibiza, southern Spain and Portugal - perhaps Morocco)- Cairo (local to Red Sea or up the Nile) - Amman (Dead Sea and Petra) - Bangkok (or Singapore) (local flights to Siem Reap and Angkor Wat) - Australia

Happy wandering

I usually use this site...seems to have most of them covered, as well as airline abbreviations and a few other bits and pieces...you can search by abreviation or city/airline name.

Hi and thanks to all. The great circle mapper is great cause you can see how your going. the other site listing the codes is great too. A great suggestion for where to go, but would also like to hit the states again somewhere and maybe to finish off stop in hawaii.
