dear all,

i have an award flight from london -> sydney in business class on the 14th of July and would love to delay the departure to say either the 16th or 17th or even 18th.

can someone who has access to the flight booking system look up for me whether its possible to structure a route from london -> australia in either business or first class?

thank you in advance

ioki

p.s. i know its quite late in looking at award bucket seats in july and its prob. impossible.. the schedule change is all work related.. =p

ioki, Unless you advise your currently booked routing 'tis difficult to be of real help.

Other than that, I do not like your chances as it is peak season.

If you can find flights, any routing changes would result in ticket re-issue and your points required would skyrocket (assuming you booked prior to May 25th). (e.g. LHR-SYD on QF2 changed to LHR-SYD on QF32 is OK, but LHR-BKK on QF2, BKK-SYD on QF2 the next day cannot be changed to LHR-SIN on QF32, SIN-SYD on QF32 the next day without reissue)

I suggest you use the Qantas Award Booking web site and do a 'dummy booking' to look for availability.[/b]

hi serfty,

indeed you are right with the need to give ppl something to start on!! =p

i was routed from london -> narita -> cairns -> brisbane -> sydney and leaving europe on the 14th of July..

i called qantas FF last night and managed to get a slightly direct route from london -> narita -> hong kong -> sydney departing europe on the 18th which now fits the travel plans much better, altho it means an extra 3 days leave i'll have to fork out. =p

i will psychologically prepare meself on the damage with the change. =(
