Hello, my girlfiend and I are travelling to Melbourne from Perth next May and we have two choices of flights.
These are:
Qantas at 199$ each way
Virgin at 169$ each way
Now this is already costing more than I planned to spend on flights, the cheaper option is always the prefered but one of the main issues I have is what points I'd receive from either flights. As Qantas is not much more when you think about the fact that you get 23kg of luggage and free food on board + a bit better times for flights.
Now the question I have is, which will get more points? I think I can get about 8,000 points with Virgin if my calculations are correct, but how many points would I get with Qantas? My girlfriend has a virgin card that is linked to my own, but she doesn't posess a Qantas card herself like I do. So my next question is, will that effect how many points I get? And if so, how drastically?
Hope you can help, Thanks for reading.
