Help with Hong Kong hotel

You definitely won't be disappointed, and it's not boring, I always end up there too! I was there in June and will be returning in November. The new club is very impressive, you will love it, make sure you enjoy a drink sitting on the swing chair! The hotel is actually being rebranded on the 27 th August to become the Cordis, I hope the change won't affect the wonderful atmosphere and service. Yes, a day trip to Macau is a well worth it.

Do they still have the massage chairs in the lounge? I struggled to get MrsDaver6 out of them when we were there!

Stayed in a club room at the Langham Place four weeks ago.
No more massage chairs. The new decor is nice but I think I preferred the original. Also noticed cut backs. No more surprises in the room.

I did a thorough review in the Lycra Trip report which is current.

Might I suggest the Salisbury YMCA (don't laugh, apparently a good 4 star hostelry - I am booked in there in Nov for 3 nights enroute LHR-Syd.) is on Kowloon waterfront, get vg reviews, in fact rated by TripAdvisor as No.2 hotel in HK. I will soon find out.

Anyone been there?

That place is a winner - but always booked out well in advance. Fantastic location.

My wife and I stayed at East Hotel a couple of years ago. We loved it...maybe just having time together was a winning bonus for us...but the staff were great, the room smallish but novel, restaurant very adequate, location above the train station and adjacent to a major shopping centre ideal. We used their limousine for collection from the airport and felt like we were treated like royalty at the airport, enroute and upon arrival at East.
