Hi all.

We're off to Europe in June courtesy of US Airways miles, and our 'destination' is Helsinki. We are planning to head directly over to London the same day and have found flights (BA) that leave 1 hour 50 minutes after our long haul (Finnair) flight is scheduled to arrive - is this enough time to transfer between the 2 flights? Has anyone done it?

Should do it easily. One of the better airports to transit.Though if you have status it is nice to visit the AY non-Schengen lounge so a longer transit.Refresh with a nice shower and experience a different lounge.

I've passed through HEL twice this week and it's fairly efficient, although as is common in European airports prepare for quite a long walk between gates.

To answer your question, even if you had to collect and re-check luggage (which you shouldn't) then yes it's possible.

Enjoy the Non-Schengen AY lounge.

Yes, it should be enough time - once you are there!

That does assume an on-time arrival, of course. With a long haul flight, I would be inclined to build in a little more wriggle room before the onward connection, especially if not on the same ticket.

Then again, that's the conservative approach - a product of experience, that I would prefer to avoid in future. :)
Have fun.

All ok PROVIDING your inbound flight is on time. But make sure you have a backup plan in case your inbound flight is late.
