I have had the Hertz No1 gold for some time and in the past was quite useful.My experience in the USA though is that it is no longer of much use.The last 3 rentals I have had through hertz In the USA I have been downgraded in car class though not cost.Also on this last occasion they wanted me to pay for the extra driver when that had always been complimentary.They only changed their tune when i announced that i had the addresses for the Minnesota and Illinois attorneys general and was making official complaints.
On the other hand at Dollar on 2 out of the last 3 rentals have had an upgrade.Guess who will get my business in future!
