+ 1 pics of all panels. I also take pics of the existing damage (even if small).

Beware low font spoilers and scrapes - common on cement blocks in car parks - I've heard of issues with scrapes under the front side of them on eg. Falcon xr6.

Good advice, especially on the Sv6/XR6 and Golf

I don't think there is such a thing as an XR6 or SV6 without the bottom of the spoiler scraped! People that I know that own them have scraped them and I've scraped a couple of rentals.

At a rate that after 5-7 days make it cheaper to have annual frequent traveller insurance with obvious other benefits!

I own an SSV redline. No scrapes. But it's hard work to keep it that way. Mst people are oblivious, so the rentals cop a pasting.

FWIW the xr6 seems more prone than the sv6.

Anything goes as long as you can return the car in any condition without the hassle of filling damage reports and paying more then the original rental agreement.

I own a newish Golf GTI (bought last year) which is even lower at the front than a normal Golf. Good thing about that is I'm used to being ultra cautious in car parks, etc
