Here I paid $51 for a Kia Cerato at BNE last weekend.

What you pay where is do diverse, it really comes down to location and day. With over 200 days rental this year, I have paid anything from $21 for an XR6 in Darwin, to $80 odd at MKY and ROK for a 65000K 4cyl junk with a damage report that went into the pages. In Brisbane I am happy to pay $20 a day which is the norm for me, renting downtown, the two pickups I have had from the airport both have had significant damage that was not recorded, which to me says if I find some damage too late to get it noted, take the car back to the airport where it will get missed anyway!

Yep on a walk in bases, Hobart, Hertz V's Avis, on a single day hire Avis was half the price, Hertz just stuffed around.

I've always looked at deals but this time of year when arranging my itinerary for January, none had them released.

Anyone had any success booking through the QANTAS site?
