Hey Qantas, why is it that ....?

Yes, the cabin ends up full, but how many paying? Unless 11/14 bought their tickets on my flight on the day of travel? (rethorical question)

Perhaps it was 11 upgrades, or outright awards, the latter which might have attracted $600 in the fuel surcharges?

We know it wasn’t free op-ups because QF are very stingy in that department so most likely pax who requested point upgrades. I must say tho it’s extremely rare to have x11 F seats available for sale on the day of travel, I’ve never seen anything even close to that on QF. It means there were no P1/CL because their upgrade requests usually clear 7 days prior and even WP get cleared 2-3 days prior.

Maybe it was the route in my example, only SIN rather than USA or London.

MEL-SIN by any chance? I guess some don’t know yet that A380 is back on that route or they don’t see the value in paying so much for 7h flight.
My point is that F availability on QF to SIN is not because of the inferior product. I’ve been on SQ F/R ex-MEL/SYD with cabins almost never being full.

Actually what I found cheaper was the toothpick / floss contraption that had a promo for Woolies on it. If I can find it i’ll Post a pic.
Have just checked and it’s not a Woolies promo. Just a state, ent by the manufacturer that the product is available at Woolworths. Tacky, but not quite as tacky as I first thought and implied above.

On the plus side, the pencil case has come in handy for some Conrad Hotel goodies I will bring home.

Didn't want to start a new thread - so thought I'd use this to ask my Q

I'm looking at an award booking and can see the two segments i want on the qantas booking (ie a-b and b-c)

But when I try and book a-c it doesn't show - even though it's well within the 24 hour connection time

Two questions

AM i going to be able to book this manually over the phone?

And will qantas charge me a manual fee booking - even though I have tried booking it online but the system comes up short?

The points aren't that much of an impost - except it'll actually leave me just short.

I found the same issue but was able to get around it my using the multicity search, booking two segments, a-b and b-c.

Try to book as multi-city, it worked for me when I had the same issue. If it doesn’t work call QF and ask them to book it over the phone. If they try to charge you booking fee simply say that you were not able to book online, either as one segment or multi-city. QF booking fee rule is simple - if it can’t be done online (and it’s a legal booking) the fee gets waved.
