Hi all,
Newbie here so please be kind to me <LOL> I have been a lurker here for a quite some time but strangely never got around to joining until now.My husband & I many years ago used to focus on travel with the our now grown kids but for a long time now it's been fun travelling with just the 2 of us. Our main focus when travelling is visiting museums & art galleries but we also enjoy walking around a lot & using public transport to get the feel for the culture of the cities & towns that we visit. We also love going to the shows & trying out local cuisine. We enjoy nature & visiting parks, gardens & beaches but are not into hiking around.
I think a lot of the fun is in pre planning a holiday & expect many other members would agree. In spite of this we still enjoy doing spur of the moment activities or deciding we have spent enough time in one place & moving on to somewhere that we had not originally planned to visit. We don't always book all of our accomodation in advance but usually have a bit of a plan in mind.Over the years I have belonged to a number of travel forums & have enjoyed learning from other members on these sites & sharing information with them. Many of them who live locally have become good friends plus it is also fun when travelling to catch up with others.
The 2 of us are heading back to Canada & USA soon & I am currently busy planning our trip I have a few questions in mind that I hope other members will be able to help with but as per the rules I will post these elsewhere on the forum.I look forward to being a member here & learning from others & making some input when I can.
Cheers & Happy travelling
