High Tea

VA and LM still struggle with concepts. High tea? Excellent as a high tea. Transcon is long enough for high tea AND a meal.

Although I agree with those who say LM meals in-flight suck (I'm usually one of them), but I have to sheepishly admit the flexi meal that consists of a rice salad is quite nice and fulfilling. Beats the *##* out of the inedilble wrap........perhaps with time comes excellence. I just hope they realise I have a "use-by-date" which grows closer by the day!

Love the comment in the Facebook thread in the link: "Get him on the ground making some different lounge food please."

Used to serve scones in First on TAA in the good old days :)

"The special flight marked Luke Mangan’s three year anniversary with Virgin Australia"

I wouldn't be celebrating that.......

Wat...my salad wrap I used to get for breakfast! Come on virgin get with it.

If you want to enjoy scones when flying, try BA European Business. In the afternoon they switch to scone mode and you can get two scones (the size of a 50p coin), clotted cream and jam.

Now that is awesome catering for business class!

Every passenger on this flight received the normal breakfast window offering (before 0929 departure) that is expected in both Business Class and the Main Cabin.

The later snack/beverage service that takes place was replaced with the High Tea which was provided to all passengers onboard.

Looks great here and nice to see something different than the standard morning snack pie and cookie that is offered.

I didn't think that Virgin offered a BOB food menu in Y on transcon flights anymore!

There is a limited snack menu available. It is all items which aren't perishable on the menu (eg. Pringles, Morish Nut Mix, M&Ms, Twix, etc).

If scones is all that is offered I would ask for something from BOB as scones are insulting to me in Business.

Am I reading this right, you'd be insulted if served a scone for afternoon tea.

Wow. I can't type what I'm thinking.

Sorry Clivem..

Arhhh Lukenet ....... If your a normal 'Luke' ..... The hard working, Intelligent, Law abiding, Tax paying (within reason), Pillar of the community, Good to their mothers...... type of 'Luke' that we all know and respect ......then please accept my sincere apology for tarring your good name with a rather wide, not to flattering brush ........

If, on the other hand, you are what is commonly referred to as a 'Celebrity Chef' who gets paid a bucket load to have his name plastered on such a benign thing as a 'tasteless soggy wrap' well that's going to be whole a different kettle of fish I'm afraid .........
