Higher price when logged into Qantas FF account

Qantas does not use any type of higher fare for specific people or whatever. It's simply a case of:

Logical explanation is the last of the fare bucket was used for one browser and so the second browser picked up the next bucket.

Or, when launching your first browser, someone else had seats on hold and by the time you launched the second browser they time expired.

Fairly certain QF holds seats once you select a flight until you pay for the ticket or they time expire, to prevent the "your fare is no longer available" error you sometimes get on 3rd party website. If there's only two seats left and you select that flight, the next person will be quoted the next highest fare.

So were the prices actually different or was the red e-deal column all sold out?

It was across all columns and it was on the first quote page. It included red e-deal, flexible and business.
e.g business was quoting 599 vs 1199...

It was before selecting any particular fare.
And yes, I thought QANTAS did not use different pricing so I used multiple different ways to search as I couldn’t believe it...

If someone manages to reproduce this, please screenshots :)

I can't reproduce it. Different browsers, logged in, logged out. all the combos.

This is very much sounding like a temporary glitch in the website

I've seen the same behavior on hotel booking sites. For example, I received a 25% discount code for a hotel chain which applied if I logged in and booked directly. I checked the price on the booking engine, then logged in.
Mysteriously... the price had gone up 25% and then came back down to the advertised rate after applying the code.

Over the weekend I was seeing prices around ~$800 each way in business, but today they were $699 and only marginally more than full flex Y. Made me book immediately.
Did it coincide with the travel dates in Virgin's current sale?

Probably, made me book!

(Lack of) onboard spirits notwithstanding, I feel like I've got a better deal with QF despite now seeing the VA price.

No offence, but when I thought I saw the same thing I realised I had the wrong date on one of the browsers.
The iPhone price bump is a real thing, but not saying QF have done this.
Typically I use webjet to see my options across airlines (domestic) but have never seen a difference when then going to the airline directly.

First use Matrix Airfare Search tool to check all airlines and its developed by Google.

Thanks.
I tried it out (for domestic) and it initially provided options with a number of agents (i.e. not direct with the airline), but now I have tried again it is only giving me results direct with the 3 airlines. I can't see why. Plus, one agent (AIRFARE.COM) was consistently cheaper flying Jetstar than going directly (but the discount was not as great as Matrix suggested). Oh well. Not up for Jetstar anyway!

I've been looking at the big QF sale on multiple devices, browers and the app and no difference for me...

I think the thing with Matrix ITA is that over the past few months they've been ONLY showing Flex Y fares & above for QF ...

I did SYD-CBR return last week, used QF points for one direction and Red-e-deal for the other. I first looked into Matrix ITA to get the fares and all the fares were ATLEAST $800 return in Y.

But on QF website, it was $214 one direction and $193 on the other.

However, SYD-CBR on VA, showed only the cheap fare. But, we need to note that no flights are being operated by VA between SYD-CBR until 21/02. According to the timetable in VA website, the earliest flight SYD-CBR is 22/02

Is this billing only in USD? I visited the website, doesn't look like they are AU based?
I knew as much as you. Had never seen it until Matrix sent me there.
