Last membership year I qualified Platinum for the first time with exactly 1400 SCs and just 4 days to spare. :p

This year my target is to try to get 1200 SCs exactly. ;)

Yes, it also costs more money with Qantas FF to redeem the "Free" flight than it does with AAdvantage.
