Planning on staying at the Hilton Brisbane for my wedding anniversary early next week, have any members stayed at this hotel since its refurb, your comments and advise appreciated .

Been inside a room since the refurb. The rooms are looking a bit more swish and clean, especially the new Executive Plus rooms.

One thing about the Executive Plus rooms (perhaps almost all rooms) is that the bathroom is now devoid of the bathtub. There is just a walk-in shower, toilet and vanity. Good room size.

Executive Lounge isn't spectacular in decor, but it is on the top floor and the staff are excellent.

Do you have HH status? If you're diamond, they do offer breakfast in either the lounge or the restaurant. The rooms are nice enough and serve the purpose and the Exec. lounge does have nice views if you perch up at the bar stools near the windows.

Agree with other posters. The lounge staff are fantastic and the evening canapes and drinks are pretty good (although not as good as the Sofitel). If you can get Exec Lounge, may be worth it. Otherwise, rooms are clean and reasonably sized (same room sizes for Exec floors).

Don't know what they were like before the refurb, but stayed a few nights there over the last few weeks on the executive levels and the rooms were nice and clean, I prefer not having the shower over the bath, so no bath was a plus. The rooms were big enough and the views from the some rooms out over the river were better then the views on the other side.

The executive lounge was good with attentive staff and very friendly.

Seems silly to use a foreign currency but anyway.

This is a Hilton-wide promotion - there were vouchers for it at the Hilton Adelaide this weekend. It's across all Hilton brands and up until Dec 31 2012, but you need a slip of paper validated when you're dining.

Now that's interesting. I thought it was just BNE as well. Part of their "renovation" celebrations. So HSW and HSP are doing the same?

I haven't seen them advertising it, but the slip of paper I picked up is a Hilton-wide promotion, but I believe it's probably only with "participating hotels". Can't hurt to ask if they are participating, though.

Will be staying at Hilton Bne Sat week; what time are drinks in the executive lounge in the evening? Ta

1800 until ........... ??????????? (We think 2100, we rarely stay more than 3 drinks and some canapes unless the company consists of more than family :))

I stayed there in December and it was fine.

Hope it is better as last time we where there back in Feb they where doing vacuum cleaning during the afternoon while trying to have a beer at 5pm.

huge atrium, nice bar area, rooms are adequate, stayed on the 21st floor, nice views looking back to the river along elizabeth street, few problems with the shower, went hot/cold often, but the service is impeccible at every level. if youre staying in bris, Hilton beats the marriot hands down for the same price.
