Hilton Honors GOLD

For those on "HHonors Points and Fixed Miles" and "HHonors Points and Variable Miles" Double-dip, the base HHonors points are 10 per "USD" charged on your room folio. If using "HHonors Points and HHonors Points", it's 15 HHonors points per USD.

If the stay cost is charged in another currency, the amount is converted to USD for this calculation.

In OZ most Hiltons give points on the entire folio amount (but not always).

Overseas, more often than not, the "Taxes" are taken out before calculating base points.

Just checked through my last few stays in oz, and only one of them included points for the GST component of the stays

Yes but the base rate quoted in Australia includes the GST.In the USA the quoted rate does not include taxes. You get points on the quoted base rates.Staying in Asia where taxes are done on top of quoted rates also means no points on those 'extra" taxes.

I have until the end of may to make the base pts required for HH Diamond.

I have a stay with a check out on 31-May that should get me over the line for Diamond.

Do you think HH will still give me Diamond Status, even though the points will most likely be credited sometime in June?

thanks

Going by posts on FT - NO!

It normally takes 2-5 working days for stays to post.

I think there may be ways to sort it out but I'm note sure if they always work.

Great........

I wonder if I can call up the HH number in the USA and maybe they can somehow sort out the situation.

This might be a dumb question, but how do I print out my HH status from the HH website?

When I click print, it only prints out the middle section, which shows travel summary and reservations.

I need to print out the left hand side, which has HH number, stays, nights, status etc..

Do AA lounges in the USA have PCs with printers attached?

thanks

Yes i have the same problem so just copy and paste into whatever i am doing as well eg AFF reply or email and then print from that.same happens with my SPG account.I have just got plat status match and no way new card will arrive in time.

Finally got my GOLD status with HH after a couple of calls to the Diamond Desk.

I tried the normal HH number and got the blah blah blah... rah rah rah.. there's no way we can credit stays manually blurb.

However, the diamond desk said there's no need to update bookings, as the hotel should be able to see my Gold status when I check in.

Should I maybe call the hotel direct to confirm?

Has anyone had problems proving Gold status?

Yes the hotel can see your status. On the stay I made diamond I was told that they could see I would make diamond that stay and so got extra benefits-that was a few years ago.
Recently booking in at the Hilton Hanoi I approached the front desk and said I had a booking for drron-the reply was you are diamond member so please proceed to executive lounge as we have already upgraded you.
Posts on FT also suggest the hotel can see what brand you stay at-eg did your status come from Conrads or Hampton Inns.

Can someone please give me the USA HH Diamond Desk direct number?

I got the Hilton Hotel Operator to put me through last time I called.

Thanks

Chucksta

If someone could please PM me the Diamond Desk direct number in the USA... that would be a huge help.

I am away, so have not received the new card.

thanks
