What's wrong with the King Spa suite may I ask? It's coming up as a possible upgrade in NOR1.

It's horrific. Think 1970's movie murder scene

Another clue to the horror is that the BAR for that suite is quite often less than supposed lower category rooms eg. Queen suite

The Queen Junior Suites have more recently been renovated and are quite a bit nicer IMHO.

Presumably the OP has to agree but as the booking is in a couple of weeks unlikely to be an issue.

That's one of the problems with these promos for me. I have a lot of flexible bookings but until I know the travel dates are definite I can't commit.

My original booking was non-refundable as well. I assume this is how they were able to make the pricing adjustment rather than changing the terms of a refundable booking. I'm still impressed that they would voluntarily reduce the pricing. Too often I seem to purchase something to find it on sale a week later
