So only about 600m from the current one.
Is the current one Hilton owned or an investment co?

We will be staying at the old Hilton. Also refurbed and now a Voco by IHG. Still has Iggys as a restaurant where we will dine again.

I’m planning to stay here or Conrad SG in August.

Which one is closer to the the main attractions and shopping, dining, etc?

I know Conrad is closer to Marina Bay. Casino doesn’t float my boat. I’ll be in town for a day.

Both aren’t that far from each other or where you might want to be so either probably is ok.

But unless you’re into lots and lots of (relatively high end) shopping I’d go the Conrad, close to Marina Bay (which is more than just the Casino), Gardens By the Bay, the river and the colonial district, which IMHO are all much more pleasant to stroll around than Orchard Road,

Thanks for the heads up - I think the Conrad is more suitable then. Was interested in trying out the Hilton Orchard as a "new" hotel but the Conrad seems to review well and I like Conrads as they're a notch above Hiltons in any event.

The level of service and amenities will almost always be superior at Conrad. The SIN property was refurbished few years ago and has two exec lounges. While the new Hilton could be hit or miss Conrad is a safe bet.
