I've been offered a role that could see me back on the bus, commuting again........will need to stay 4 nights (Mon-Fri) in Syd for a few years.

I'm about to contact the hotel to see if they are keen to offer a deal to get the business. Before starting the process - I thought I would post here to see if any AFF'r has experience in achieving a special rate or could advise what a realistic nightly rate would be.

Any advice would be gratefully accepted.

You might get it sub $200, but living in a hotel 4 days a week is not ideal, an apartment would make more sense.

I'd definitely be getting an apartment for 4 nights a week.

I had an apartment in the past - did a 3+ year stint in Syd that ended a couple of years ago. It was nice but I thought I'd try something different this time.

City/Mosman located and decent furnished apartments aren't cheap. I found with work, travel, client entertaining & routine of daily exercise - I was only in the thing when I was sleeping. Plus, you've got to wash the sheets & make the bed;)

Hilton SYD would be a nice spot to do that, with the included gym/pool and central location. Please let us know wht you find out. You'd also have to check whether the benefits applied or not.

A little OT but I met someone in the lift last night at Hilton Sydney who was there 1 week in 4 commuting from ADL and he said in general he was treated very well

Update. Email sent - no response.........follow up email.....nothing.

Gave up & decided on a furnished apartment in Mosman......pity, now I have to make the bed & wash things:(

Mosman isn't quite as well located as the Hilton, assuming work is in the CBD. But Military Road is well served by buses to avoid the car park that road can be in peak hour. Or the ferry...

Basically, went back to what I know - Mosman was home for 20 years.
