Hi tiredoldflyer... yep- it seems that if you click on "Ï reside in Australia/UK" - the quote always includes all insurances with zero excess...what is NOT included is some roadside assistance and cover for underside of car/windscreen for most- dont think this is a huge risk in LA so did not add this

hi baysider- a search of lax shows ALL car rental is off site- with shuttles...

further- have booked fully cancellable 5% off rate with auto europe
I avoided Auto Europe because of lots of bad reviews about extra charges at pick up. e.g.

Top 10 Reviews of Auto Europe
Auto Europe US reviews | Customer reviews of Auto Europe US | www.autoeurope.com

That said I've seen bad reviews of EconomyCarRentals too, so I guess the lesson is ask questions and read the fine print. Get as much as you can in writing and take it with you.

Definately- have print screened absolutely everything -and double checked that the airport tax is included...we should have to pay nil at pick up-purposefully chose alamo car as their reviews at LAX seem good- and no human involved- can self check in at kiosk and pick own car from the class you paid for...fingers crossed...again thanks for all the tips...will keep watch for any further price drops but unlikely to be significant I think- price is even better than hotwire...

So Autoeurope website down for maintenance to check prices today :(
Mumofsydney did they beat carhire3000?
How does self checkin work when they want to see drivers licence and credit card?
Alamo at the counter tried to put full tank of fuel on my contract...it's bloody hard after 15hrs in the air to make sure it matches the prepaid voucher.
What are Dollar experiences like with people renting off them...do you get to choose car, is there self checkin kiosk, how did you find if they existed?

Hi PLANT : for 18 day hire - LAX September- cheapest car available : rentalcars.com/carhire3000 : $552 AUD, autoeurope : 260 GBP : approx 480 AUD (not yet cleared on amex), not sure how self check works- but reading other forums eg flyertalk app no human at all...not that matters as not using any special code...fuel on my deal- : have full tank, return full or pay 3.99 USD per gallon....

Where does it say 5% off on autoeurope?

No Omaha listed as city?

Attempted Miami 5th to 10th May and no all insurance included option?
Just basic insurance?

Website seems stuffed as click on Insurance options and only bikes come up?

What number do you ring to cancel with Auto Europe?
Just discovered that drop off time it says not open at 5am on auto europe website...to return car!
My original booking had 1200hrs and ringing to find out if key drop an option??????
