Cheers Mate!! Looks plenty flash enough for my needs!@RSD - brief look at Regal here
That was another excellent flight. Landed at HKG and then a 20+ mins taxi to gate. Immigration not bad, then a 10 min walk through the terminal to the Regal Hong Kong Airport. Seeing the weather was going to be bad, I me feeling very tired, I asked what the rate would be to extend my stay with a day use. Reception lady asked when I wanted the room until - I said about 3pm (thinking the Lounge Crawl would start about four ()). She said she could offer me late check-out to 2pm, and will upgrade me. How's that - enquired about payingbut given late check-out!
I got to my room about...
For OP - the Novotel mentioned is Novotel Citygate, in Tung Chung just near HKIAThere is a Marriott nearby as well, I prefer the Novotel just off the airport, think it’s a 5 min bus ride on their complimentary shuttle.
The Regal is landside, but attached to the terminal - no sweating it outside to get there!Slightly OT, but have 24.5 hour layover in-between HKG (QF) then SGN (VN) flights in July.
Was looking at Novotel Citygate as assume will need to collect luggage?
If staying at The Regal, still need to clear formalities?
