I have to admit, Hobart airport has achieved the impossible.
It has made Perth airport look good.

Last night's news had an item on the opening of the refurb for Launceston airport-it was all about the new eating places.

i think i remember reading somewhere last year that the 'owners' are spending a lot of money renovating/ enhancing Gold Coast, Mt Isa and Launceston terminals

Majority owner of HBA is Macquarie Bank, or some related entity.

HIAPL is owned by the Tasmanian Gateway Consortium, which is a joint venture between two major Australian superannuation investment companies:

50.1% share owned by Macquarie Global Infrastructure Fund III (GIF III)
49.9% share owned by Retirement Benefits Fund (RBF) Board

Very different to Macquarie itself..
