Hobart temporary lounge April 2025

First time in the temporary lounge for HBA whilst renovations are occurring.
Definitely not an improvement - toilets are now in the public concourse and the space is smaller.
Food offering area is also smaller so nice and intimate. Today they have tomatoes, a week ago they were off the menu.

In a new personal low for me, 2 Americans were refused entry on their business class tickets as they needed to be a Qantas Club member according to the door person.
‘Someone’ may have overheard and interrupted stating business class was entitled.
The excuse was the QF person was not in here often and wasn’t sure, but still waited until an experienced colleague returned from <the external toilets?> to allow them in.

Yes. Basically veer left towards the windows and it’s there. Actually has a large red sign so you can’t miss it.

And breaking news QF seem to have stopped the random update love as currently in 4A and sooo close to a vacant 3C & 3D. But someone known to QF staff got a free big seat at the gate

I thought they stopped that years ago beyond living memory, except for a couple of lucky P1s etc
