Home delivery of QF Magazine during COVID-19

As a mere gold member after flying mostly with virgin and it’s partners I also copped one in the mail. Definitely welcomed in the loo reading stash!

August issue dropped in the mailbox today - focus on cities - MEL/ADL/PER and I think AKL (I am only going off the cover )

However the real "news" is a comment on the cover the letter implying this is the last issue to be mailed out to punters. It says (paraphrasing) that shortly the QF mag will be available again in lounges and on board. "We hope you've enjoyed receiving the magazine at home and to stay connected, make sure you pick up future issues when you're next in the lounge or onboard"

So seems fairly clear on that point.

This decision was probably made before the current lockdown madness so who knows if they will send more or not. Not fussed either way and it must be a big cost item for them but thought I'd post it out to at least some thousands of people monthly.

So this may well be the last one in the snail mail box.

Interesting. I must say the last issue had me almost crying with desperation about all places I wanted to visit, restaurants I want to go to (mainly Melbourne of course)…. It was a really MEAN magazine!!

Annnnd much to my surprise September issue dropped in my mailbox. it's bigger and has, according to the blurb, more sections and things but I have not opened it.

so guess given half the joint is locked down QF decided to still send for the time being.

Just asking does anyone on this site actually collect the QF in flight magazines. I was cleaning out some stuff to day and came across a small pile of them that have been sent to me over the past 18 months. I do not have all of them as some have been thrown out and most are still in plastic. Before they go off to the binI thought I would just ask if anyone wanted some. The ones still sealed will be opened just to remove the postage slip/ letter that contains my details. If there is interest I will start a 'Free Stuff' post and you can chuck your hat in the ring. The copies I still have are:

• 2020 Jul, Aug, Sep, Dec
• 2021 Jan through to Oct

I would appreciate the October 2021 edition if it has not been claimed. One of my friends appears in one of the articles and hasn't been able to track down a physical copy.

As there was not much interest aside from the Oct 21 copy which I will be sending to @BillytheFIsh they are all yours. As you are in ADL send me a PM and we can work out delivery/ collection.
