Hong Kong Airport Transit Experiences

CX checkin a breeze in MEL although agent who is actually a CX staff member had never seen ABTC Digital Card before - go figure.

As for The House Lounge what a disappointment - I wouldn’t have thought a bit of cheese and a few crackers on offer for a 00:50 dep would be too much to expect.

One of the Lounge Staff previously worked down in SKL Lounge and remembered me from gifts I gave out there while she worked there - operators of House Lounge Swissport are desperate to cut costs - not even a few peanuts on offer - but they do serve coughtails which staff will gleefully concoct 👍

I am not going to post much more about todays flt MEL-HKG-PEK - suffice to say Cabin Crew are a delight to deal with - a couple have even promised to prise me out of SQ and to cross the divide to CX - not Gunna happen - as lively as they are the service just lacks the polish of SQ.

Food offerings ok but doesn’t knock your socks off - bevvies def a step below SQ in range and quality but it is what it is - Taitt on MEL-HKG sector / Thienot on HKG-PEK sector:

The House lounge still better than the dungeon which is the Qantas Business lounge, at least for the actual lounging part. Not really a choice here for late night departure though. The bar is all that matters anyways ;)
