Depends, I have a specific stay in mind and know ill save money by using the points. I wouldn’t buy them speculatively just to boost your balance.Worth buying? Last week I stayed at Hilton Tel Aviv which cost a whopping USD 695 for the cheapest room or 80K pts....I chose the latter
;(
I think as per Kpc’s post there can be value, most of the blogs put value at .5-.6 US cents but note you can get much better value in certain instances (I certainly have) but agree best to not do speculatively.Depends, I have a specific stay in mind and know ill save money by using the points. Got a promotional email about this offer. How do you access this promotion? Did you receive an email
You can also sign up to onemileatatime or LoyaltyLobby… both will send you daily updates that include hotel points offers. I have never received an offer by email yet!How do you access this promotion? Did you receive an email
I don’t recall receiving an email for this one (but I have in the past) nor did I see it mentioned on LL but I did find it in My Offers (100% bonus and 240k+240k for US$2,400). Pity about the exchange rate but anyone planning a U.S visit should do the math. Room rates are out of control at the moment. You can also sign up to onemileatatime or LoyaltyLobby… both will send you daily updates that include hotel points offers. Maybe a top up if it made the difference between getting 5th night free….Not bad for points you got from earning (I did a month of travel with double points last year) but it probably wouldn't make sense to buy them.
