Wheels down. Back home, & it's raining.
The first time I've ever flown J long haul and QF94 was absolutely terrific. It is an entirely different world of flying, especially on the 789. The lower cabin altitude due to composite construction makes me not feel as horrible (I have terribly dry skin.)
You've got a huge amount of space, a great menu, drinks and snacks galore, and you can actually lie flat (I got 7.5 hours sleep.)
I honestly didn't even look at the ETA once. I didn't care, because I was just so damn comfortable.
Nobody to step over to go for a walk or stretch out, or for a bathroom visit. Everyone has aisle access
It's the only way to fly long haul imo.
Usually I'm in PE, in a huge amount of discomfort, looking at the clock with a feeling of dread.
When QF finally launches project sunrise, it will be such a privelege (and mightily convenient) to be able to disembark at JFK or wherever.
There's no way I could do 20 hours in PE or E. It's brutal enough as is LAX-MEL.
Had a blast, thanks for all your help folks
