A 4 night stay at about $35 Aust a night, room only. We have read mostly positive things. The room is not ready when we arrive (can checkout as late as noon) so we sit watching the surf & boardriders up close from under the thatched umbrellas. Room (number 4), is well located midway between front (highway side) and back (close to where people sit & dine). It is a detached cabin, tiled roof, tiled floor & reasonable size. We have paid for ac and there is also a fan. Bed is 2 pushed together with separate linen & is firm but comfortable. Bathroom has hot water, shower is good & has sliding screen. Menu is very similar to most in Sri Lanka but certainly less focus on curry on the coast & this place has a few more “Ëuropean” choices. Breakfast is ok although only a very small tea pot, only one small piece of fruit & the butter & toast spreads are in those annoying little sealed packs. It is an excellent spot to sit under the thatched umbrellas & watch the boardriders come head-on towards you & pull out of the wave about 20 metres away.

We end up organising our transfer to Negombo through the hotel. The staff are very friendly and the owner had a chat to us as we were leaving & seemed genuinely interested in any problems we had encountered with the room.
