How can I get cash out of Amex ?

Hi All. I've received a flight refund to my Amex card and I want to get the cash. I assume I can go to an ATM and get slugged $5. Can I transfer it to a bank account or even load my Qantas Cash card with it ?

Which amex card is it? If it is a credit or charge card, you'll get the ATM fee as discussed.

I would recommend using your amex to purchase discounted gift cards to the stores you usually frequent and use it in place of your groceries.

Call them and ask if they can EFT the money to a savings account.

I have not done this with AMEX specifically, but have with other card providers.

That hit the spot, called and they arranged an EFT transfer, no problems. Thanks.

I've never had to complete any forms? Always just called AMEX and they would do it over the phone in a minute.
