How can you search for a hotel that offers a bath separate to a shower?

Long time member and reader - sorry for the lack of contributions.

Is there a way to use the internet search sites to find hotels that have separate showers and baths? And I am not talking about a shower over the bath, I am talking about two separate things.

Thanks in advance.

I can't recall ever using a search function for this on any website. Perhaps another angle would be to specify which cities you're looking to stay at, and the combined knowledge of AFF might be able to narrow down particular hotels for you?

Reluctant to do that, as that means I have to ask for help almost every time I travel. You know the give a man a fish / teach a man to fish story? Hoping someone could teach me.

But if the only option is on a trip - by - trip basis … OK … next trip is to Auckland CBD.

Hotel chain Hilton HHonors can set up favourite class level of hotel. The dearer rooms or studios have precisely this separate toilet even two separate and just a bath room no toilet inside them. And yes they come with separate showers too!

Ie the Hilton Berlin Hilton Sydney

Higher class hotels tend to have fancy bathrooms.

Higher class hotels tend to have fancy bathrooms.

Bathrooms in newer hotels are sans bath in most cases regardless of class, as this is the trend.

Trend is your friend as they say in share trading. Not so at Waldorf Astoria no sans bathroom u can assure you !

Never heard of that kind of "feature" before.

My strategy would have been to try and find hotels you're interested in - either on the host websites, TripAdvisor, Booking.com etc. - then look at the pics and descriptions and see if anyone has taken any bathroom shots.

Potential issues with this method is that the shots of the bathroom are sometimes the "launch flyer" shots, i.e. what the bathroom looked like when it was brand spanking new, or rather when it was materialised as a concept before construction began. Also, it may only show the bathroom for one kind of room (usually the best, which you have to dole out top dollar for).

You can also call the individual properties for advice (or send an email).

If a room is going to be small, the chances are high you'll get an integrated bath and shower, or just a shower with no bath.

Overall, I can't think of an efficient or elegant solution.
